Position Summary:

This position will manage and ensure the accuracy of the claim data maintained in RCCL’s RMIS system and other financial records and reconcile the data with data maintained by third parties including RCCL’s insurers.  This role is highly technical in nature and requires demonstrated attention to detail, execution and follow-up on multiple initiatives with the Risk Management Department. The ability to independently analyze, identify, and address variances in the data and implement process improvements within the organization is a key factor of success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure accuracy of claim data maintained in RCCL’s RMIS system and perform monthly reconciliation of data with P&I Insurance Clubs and other third-party insurers to ensuring RCCL’s financial records and transaction align with records kept by third parties
  • Identify variances in the loss data and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in an effort to eliminate variances, where possible
  • Review monthly loss records and reconciliation reports to identify trends and cost drivers in an effort to reduce RCCL’s Total Cost of Risk (TCOR)
  • Develop and update financial reports to clearly report and communicate actual results, forecasted performance; and variances to plan, forecast and budget
  • Partner with RCCL’s Actuarial, Accounting, and Regulatory teams to ensure financial accuracy and statutory rules compliance
  • Design and update reports and analysis to help assess business trends

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s degree (MA) preferred
  • Experience with global/international operations/organization a plus
  • 4+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
  • Limited travel expected, however, must be able to travel up to 20% of the time, including trips abroad

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, and other MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data, draw conclusions about data integrity and accuracy, spot trends and opportunities in data
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
