Brief Description of Team

The Newbuild and Technical procurement team supports two areas.  On the Newbuild end, the team works closely with Design, Development, and Project Management and the various divisions of Hotel and Marine Operations to secure the supplies and services required to start-up a new vessel and ensuring that such is done in a timely manner with a focus on quality and price.  On the Technical end, the team works with the Marine Technical Operations organization to ensure that the spare parts, consumables, and services are acquired efficiently and effectively to support the ongoing repair and maintenance of our fleet of vessels.

Brief Description of Intern Project

Our intern will focus on performing analytics to find procurement efficiencies and identify strategic opportunities and present these to leadership for consideration.  Time permitting, the intern will take the lead on implementing their approved recommendation.

Job Requirements

What we are looking for?

  • Currently serving on Active Duty in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • Proven leadership skills either in school or professional experience
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis
  • Self-driven and motivated
  • Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Emulates pride, passion and commitment for their job and conveys excitement and enthusiasm for RCL.
  • Excited to collaborate and eager to learn from others
  • Proven leadership ability, either in a student organization, project, and/or outside the classroom
  • Demonstrates a passion for service and commitment to continuous improvement
